People who get sick from eating raw batter/dough are getting sick from the raw eggs, not the dry mix ingredients. Since your recipe calls for cooking the eggs in a custard AND freezing, the chances of getting sick from Salmonella are VERY slim. The only way would be if the custard was undercooked, but even then, freezing for several hours would take care of it!
