Top 10 Craziest Ice Cream Recipe Finds

Thought I would do a top ten for this post. I have been sick for a while and trying not to eat dairy so I can fight off this cough, and on top of it, Kevin and I have new floors being put in the kitchen, so I have been unable to even go into the kitchen -- nevemind the fact that our oven is in the garage and our fridge is in the dining room...

Long story short, this isn't about ice cream that I have made, but instead, the top ten craziest ice creams that Arianna and I could find online that included recipes as well...

(In no particular order...)

  1. Bacon and Egg Ice Cream
(This blog also has a recipe for Pecan, Brown Sugar and Bacon Ice Cream!)

  2. Champagne Ice Cream

  3. Grilled Potato Ice Cream

  4. Black Sesame and Wasabi Ice Cream

  5. Brie Ice Cream

  6. Prickly Pear Ice Cream

  7. Garlic Ice Cream

  8. Corn Ice Cream

  9. Beer Ice Cream

  10. Wisconsin Aged Cheddar Cheese Ice Cream

Added bonus, some other crazy finds that didn't quite fit in our top ten, but still deserve a mention...

There's no recipe for this, but there is talk of it...
  1. Roast Beef Ice Cream

Ways to prepare ice cream
  1. BBQ Ice Cream Treats
  2. Cricket Topped Ice Cream
  3. California Spamoni Sorbet

For more strange flavors already made, you might want to try these places:
  1. Udder Delight Ice Cream House has flavors such as Memphis Barbecue and Bacon.
  2. Jeni's Ice Cream has flavors such as Queen City Cayenne and Thai Chili (and you can even order this ice cream to your door!)
Many, many thanks to sister Arianna for her extensive help in compiling this list!

(To see all the illustrations I did to get to these final choices, please visit my art blog...)

And in future posts, let's talk about spoom, a sweet frozen ice cream-like treat with a very odd name...

Ice-cream scoops in the egg then the batter and the rest of then the cornflakes mixture and it is the now time to refreeze one more the time. After this the cornflakes the mixture should cover the scoops much the better. The minimum time for the freezing should be at least 2-3 the hours at this stage. You can then the freeze it for more hours the depending upon the time you have. Then the longer you freeze, the better the it will be.
